Eat Sleep Skate Repeat by Philip Hargreaves
Eat, Sleep, Skate, Repeat is an exciting new creative and heritage project celebrating Bradford Ice Arena and its legacy as an iconic cultural space. At its heart, the project is a celebration of Bradford’s rich skating heritage, built on a foundation of community engagement collecting stories, images, footage and tales of those who have used the Ice Arena over its 60 year existence. Eat, Sleep, Skate, Repeat is a celebration of culture, community and movement.
Heritage in Motion: A Journey Through Sports and Identity by Asma Elbadawi
This is a multimedia project celebrating the lives of female athletes in Bradford. Through photography, film, and written narratives, it highlights the unique intersection of cultural heritage, identity, and athleticism. The project documents athletes in both traditional attire and sportswear, showcasing their resilience and the empowering role of sports. Inspired by personal experiences within Bradford’s sports community, the initiative seeks to provide a platform for athletes to share their stories, from local leagues to national stages.
My Creative Community by Rachel Cambell
The project proposed a series of ten weekly creative workshops for marginalised adults attending Warm Space, combining social connection, practical support, and creative engagement. These sessions included a warm brunch, creative arts facilitated by a multi-disciplinary Creative Facilitator, and opportunities to access local services.
The Toothless Film Festival by Haider Mahboob
The project involved a series of guerilla film-making workshops across Bradford. Led by young facilitators to foster trust and relatability, the initiative aimed to show that creativity doesn’t require significant financial resources. The programme culminated in a popular showcase of Toothless Films’ work addressing issues like mental health, gender identity, and social class. Held at Pictureville and with live music throughout, the project was a rip-roaring success.
