The "Legacy Event: Bhangra & Desi Legacy" on June 13th in Bradford is a celebration of South Asian contributions to British culture, specifically focusing on the historical significance of Bhangra Daytimers in the region. It's a Leap-funded event taking place at the Majestic, Bradford, from 6-10 PM. The event will include talks, rare footage, and special guests who will honor the legacy of Bhangra Daytimers, which were daytime disco events that emerged in Bradford in the 1990s.
Dancing on Difficulties, led by the inspiring Mohammed Saeed, is a radical social Leap Award winner event. Transforming personal and collective struggles into powerful movement Saeed presents his headline dance "Choice of War" . In the past few weeks England has grappled with a significant rise in far-right extremism, racist violence, anti-immigration fervour, and Islamophobic attacks. Whilst some have attempted to attribute these riots to the horrific murder of three children, it is evident that these events have threatened the fabric of our diverse society and now demand an urgent, robust and thoughtful response from all sectors, particularly the arts and culture community. The Leap, Borderlands and Bradford Council are organising a series of on-line and physical gatherings across England dedicated to addressing these urgent issues.

The onboarding session, held on January 25th at the Thornberry Centre on Leeds Road, witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of creative minds from across the Bradford & Keighley district. Fuelling Futures are proud to present a Car detailing and Car wrapping workshop giving insight to young people within the Bradford district. Working with Ministry of Detailing led by Danish Awais they hope to engage with young people demonstrating car wrapping and car detailing. Giving inspiration to young people to convert their passion for Bradford's car culture towards looking at career apprenticeship's.
The event takes place on 23rd September 2023 from 10am to 4pm.
