Become A Member of The Leap Consortium

the leap was established by a consortium of bradford district based organisations who are passionate about the role that arts and culture play in positively transforming the lives of people and places.

The Leap is all about supporting community-led culture. We are a Creative People and Places programme enabling the arts and culture for everyone, everywhere. With substantial financial backing from Arts Council England, Bradford Council and other partners, The Leap are working to broaden and strengthen participation in the arts and culture in areas of Bradford District that are considered to have been historically underserved.

The Leap Consortium makes a significant contribution to the strategy, policies and priorities of The Leap programme. The Consortium currently meets six times annually and delegates day-to-day management and operational responsibility to the Director.

who we’re loOking for

The Leap Consortium is looking for up to three new members to join us on our exciting journey to bring about change through community led arts and culture. Whilst these roles are voluntary positions, you will have the satisfaction of joining a dynamic, innovative organisation. We want people who share our vision and passion for arts and culture and making a lasting difference to lives and communities.

We are especially looking to add experience from an experienced arts organisation, a grass roots community organisation and an organisation with experience of operating at scale as a social enterprise.

equality, diversity and inclusion are key objectives for The Leap and we reflect this in our recruitment, actively seeking applications from all parts of the community regardless of race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or disability.

Experience of previously serving on a Board or Committee is not essential. We are committed to stretching and expanding our Consortium - who they are and their backgrounds. So we are strongly encouraging applications from people who can bring different viewpoints, lived experience and perspectives to our work. You would be representing your organisation, and should have permission from your organisations leadership before applying.

New Consortium members will be thoughtful, ask good questions, problem-solvers, open, pioneering, and keen to bring their own lived expertise and experience to our mission and ambitions.
