The family activity ‘Recreate Keighley Town’ is the concept of inviting visitors to the museum and festival to recreate their own version of Keighley town. Participants will be invited to re-map what Keighley town looks like by creating their favourite buildings and landmarks, past and/or present to make a collective 3D artwork of Keighley town. Using card, coloured paper, recycled mixed materials, pens and templates, families will create their favourite past or present Keighley building or landmark, this could be their own home, a place of worship, a place of work, recreational spaces, schools etc. The idea is to create an alternative version of Keighley that is built from shared conversations, nostalgia and memories and that celebrates all aspects of Keighley’s rich culture, diversity and heritage.
