Age groups: Early years and primary-aged children

Get hands-on at The Rough and the Smooth! Children can explore textures through squishing, rolling, and shaping in a relaxed messy play environment.  

Using safe and sensory-rich materials, this session encourages curiosity, motor skills, and imagination. Families are supported to participate together, ensuring children feel confident and engaged. Whether it’s discovering the feel of rough sand, smooth dough, or squishy paint, every texture tells a story and invites playful exploration.  

This event creates a safe, inclusive space where children can develop new skills while simply enjoying the joy of sensory play.
