fuelling futures at bradford manufacturing weeks

The Fuelling Futures collaborated with Bradford Manufacturing Weeks, an initiative designed to create meaningful connections between manufacturers and the younger generation. This collaboration seeks to inspire and educate through engaging workshops and activities that highlight the diverse opportunities within the manufacturing sector.

Manufacturing Weeks was the "Model Engine Marvel" Workshop, led by The Bradford College. The hands-on workshop, building a model 4-cylinder engine, was tailored to provide young participants with a fascinating insight into the world of engineering and manufacturing. Through the interactive session under the expert guidance of Bradford College educators, young people from the Bradford district had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of building model engines, sparking curiosity and passion for these fields.

“Personally for the young people I enjoyed them learning new things that they’ve never done before” Isobel Di Franco - Bradford Youth service.

The collaboration between The Leap, Bradford College, and the support of Mission 44 underscores a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in the manufacturing sector. By combining forces, these organizations aim to create a dynamic platform that not only enriches the educational experience of young people from Bradford but also fosters valuable connections between educational institutions and industry leaders.

The Fuelling Futures event promises to be a highlight in the educational calendar, offering a unique blend of hands-on learning, industry insights, and networking opportunities. This collaborative effort aligns with the overarching aspirations of Mission 44 to empower young minds and bridge the gap between education and real-world career opportunities in STEM and Motorsports.
